It Official! The newest smartphones giant's personal Palm, the Palm Pixi '(code name Eos / Pixie) has just been unveiled. After the Palm Pre, here is the second 'smartphone' in the group using the new operating system WebOS. The device combines touch screen display and full keyboard (not sliding), closer to the Palm Treo that the Pre. The App Catalog will choose their mobile applications and users can synchronize Palm Media Sync with iTunes and can also use the Amazon MP3 service on the device.
Palm Pixi is a smartphone compatible with the CDMA network of the U.S. operator Sprint and therefore unusable in Europe. It has wireless connectivity, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP for wireless headphones LAN, but not WiFi. It has 8 GB of internal memory, 7 GB available to the user. Its dimensions are: 111 x 55 x 10.85 mm per 99.5 g. The screen is 2.63 inches, a resolution of 320x400 pixels and a sensor camera 2 million pixels. Palm Pixi also incorporates a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a removable rechargeable battery of 1,150 mAh and a space located under the touch screen. Its processor is a Qualcomm MSM7627.
It should be available later this year by Sprint at a price of 149.99 dollars with a two-year subscription
